Why are our comics priced higher?
Because we carefully inspect and grade every item before listing it for sale.

At CALM Store, we use our own grading system for magazines and comics.
Our system consists of eight grades: C, D, B, B+, A-, A, A+, and A++.

Grades A+ and A++ (Typically the top 10–15%):
These items are in truly pristine, like-new condition, with virtually no visible flaws to the naked eye.

Grades A- and A (Typically the next 25%, approximately within the top 15–40%):
These items are in excellent, like-new condition, although they may have very minor imperfections.

Grades B and B+ (Typically the next 40%, approximately within the top 40–80%):
These items are still new but may have minor flaws, such as slight spine cracks or small creases. In the case of magazines, this grade generally includes items with visible cracking along the spine. They are typically offered at lower prices through our Mercari store.

Grade C:
These items have noticeable damage or wear but remain complete and readable. They are removed from our regular listings and are generally not offered to collectors.

Grade D:
These items have severe damage or major defects, such as missing pages, water damage, or significant tears. They do not meet CALM Store’s minimum standards and are not offered for sale.
